An unrestricted donation to the Tree of Life Fund allows the school flexibility to respond to our greatest needs, such as program enrichment, innovative  curriculum, staff retention, professional development, and system-wide maintenance and improvements. Giving to this fund provides students and staff enhanced opportunities in all areas of life and learning.

Christian education is one of the most important investments a family can make for their child’s future, and we recognize the financial commitment. Some families have unique circumstances that may limit their ability to pay tuition. This fund assists with tuition assistance for those who qualify and demonstrate need.

Support-a-Scholar

This fund provides financial assistance to deserving and talented students who have the desire to attend Tree of Life, and whose family income is 250% or less of the federal poverty guidelines. Tree of Life invites you to become a champion for these students in need.

Stay Together Fund

Stay Together Fund

The Stay Together Fund helps meet temporary needs of families facing unexpected financial hardships to stay at Tree of Life. Additionally, it supports students whose circumstances challenge their ability to participate in educational trips and school events. It enables students to fully participate in the school experience.

Josias Rodriguez Fund

Josias Rodriguez Fund

Given in memory of Josias, class of 2011, who passed away unexpectedly in 2013, this gift is awarded to Tree legacy students: children, grandchildren, or relatives of a Tree of Life alumni who are in need of financial assistance to attend or stay at Tree of Life.

MORE WAYS TO GIVE

Taxpayers now have a cost-free way to make a significant contribution to the students at Tree of Life Christian Schools. Thanks to Ohio’s new state tax credit, individuals who contribute to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) can receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for up to $750. Furthermore, you may designate your gift for TOLCS students only.

How to donate to a SGO

Giving a gift to Tree of Life “in honor of” or “in memory of” an individual is an important way to acknowledge a special person in your life and bless our school at the same time. This gift of distinction may memorialize a loved one, celebrate a special event, acknowledge accomplishments, honor a teacher or administrator, celebrate special milestones of life such as graduation, etc. *All Honorary Gifts benefit the Lezlee Knowles Fund unless otherwise noted.

Planned giving, such as retirement assets, charitable remainder trusts, annuities, insurance policies, and bequests, benefits the school beyond a person’s lifetime. There are special tax provisions for giving from an IRA directly to a charity. If you desire to redirect an asset that might otherwise be taxed heavily or incur capital gains, please consult an attorney or other professional adviser.

Endowment gifts provide perpetual benefits for Tree of Life students of today and tomorrow. Tree of Life’s greatest and best hope for a financially secure future is an adequate, unrestricted endowment, invested and managed for growth. Endowment gifts help provide financial longevity in support of students, faculty, staff, and programs.

Take advantage of a tax deduction for the entire fair market value of the stock, bond, or mutual fund by donating the investment directly to the school.

Many companies encourage charitable giving of their employees by offering a matching gift program. This is a wonderful way to double your contribution. Tree of Life is an eligible educational institution that receives matching funds from various companies. Contact your HR or Benefits department to see if your employer participates in a matching gift program. Please be sure to inform the school of your and your employer’s participation.
