Loving the whole child

Historically, schools focus on education and academics, but Tree of Life aims to educate the whole child, including head, heart and hands. The addition of a formal Life Care department in 2019 facilitated us to be proactive in addressing emotional and mental health concerns. The news is inundated with stories of how COVID has caused trauma and stress, especially in the lives of students. God led us down the path of addressing these needs, before the pandemic, which put us in a great place to be able to minister to the whole child this past year.

Professional development and staff devotional time has allowed for training on how trauma impacts children, and how to identify trauma in the classroom. This has resulted in more awareness across all campuses, as we strive to love the whole child.
