Frequently Asked Questions

What are the church expectations for students and families?2022-01-24T19:45:40+00:00

Tree of Life’s mission is to partner with Christian families to help students grow in their faith with Jesus. We serve Christian families from over 200 different churches in central Ohio. Though Tree of Life is not affiliated with a specific church/denomination, we do request that at least one parent and the student attend a Christian church. A Pastor’s Reference Form is required during the admissions process.

Does Tree of Life have a wait list?2023-12-29T03:24:03+00:00

Tree of Life has a predetermined capacity at each grade level, and we value our commitment to maintaining student-to-teacher ratios and small class sizes.

At times, the number of prospective students exceeds the number of seats available in a designated grade level. Our goal is to maintain capacity at each grade level, and our wait pool process helps to achieve this goal. Tree of Life’s wait pool is an unranked group of students who have been accepted into Tree of Life and who are prayerfully waiting for an opportunity to join our school family.

The re-enrollment period for current families ends on February 15th. Wait pool families can typically expect to be notified of grade level openings in February for the upcoming school year.

Seats often continue to become available after February, often up to the beginning of the school year. We will keep families in the wait pool informed as spaces become available. Of course, we always welcome students to reapply during the next admission season if a seat does not become available.

Tree of Life has established the following process for families pursuing enrollment in a grade level that is nearing or currently at enrollment capacity:

  • Families must complete the steps outlined in the “How to Apply” section, including testing.
  • When a family receives acceptance into a wait pool status, they have three business days to confirm being added to the wait pool for a specific grade level.
  • If a seat opens up in a grade level, families will be notified via email and phone. Families will have 48 hours to enroll before the seat is offered to another family in the wait pool.
How is the Bible incorporated into the curriculum?2022-01-24T19:03:41+00:00

We use a wide variety of texts, many of which are not from Christian publishers. Our teachers use Biblical Integration to weave a Biblical worldview throughout all subjects. We believe this allows for students to develop a healthy Biblical worldview as they live in a secular world, and they are taught how to see Jesus in all areas of study.

Will my student attend chapel and Bible class?2022-01-24T19:08:26+00:00

All students receive Bible teaching daily. In the elementary school, chapels are a place where students can worship and learn together .
