Log Your Community Service Hours

Tree of Life Christian Schools inspires students to serve others for the cause of Christ through giving their time and talents to others in His name. Following the model of Acts 1:8, students serve as a witness of Christ’s love in their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.

Students should annual community service hours in Renweb to satisfy the 20-hour per year service requirement. Each set of 20 hours should be completed during the school year for a particular grade. Summer service hours can count for either year, banking forward for the next year or counting backward for the year past. Seniors should consider completing the final year of service hours in the summer before the senior year begins. Freshman through juniors who have not completed 20 hours before the new year begins will make-up hours of service through the school office during study hall or after-school times. Seniors will be required to complete the 20 hours of service before graduation.

  1. Good afternoon! As you may know, I am on the planning committee for the Congenital Heart Walk of Central Ohio. This helps raise awareness for something very near and dear to our hearts.

This year we are reaching out to some of the local high schools, hoping that their Seniors may be in need of hours to help reach their goals.

The event thIs year will be held September 25, 2016 at the Westerville Sports Complex.

I was wondering if you thought any of our TOL Seniors would be interested in volunteering a few hours at our event?

Thank you for any of your help!
    Rhonda

PS.I am adding a link for the walk so that he will have all the necessary information. http://events.congenitalheartwalk.org/site/TR?fr_id=1513&pg=entry

  2. Dear Mr. Davis,

I have attached a flier for any girls who may be interested in joining Girl Scouts this year. I can also use volunteers for this event from noon-5pm (Sat., August 27).

The high school girls may be interested to know that we are taking a trip to the Appalachian Trail in June to visit on 14 states and do a small hike in each one so they can complete the 14 states challenge by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy.

  3. Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this email and click on the volunteer flyer attachment. I am reaching out to you today to inform you of some excellent community service opportunities for your students. Hospice cannot function without volunteers and, it is my job to recruit those volunteers, train them and place them in a setting that works best for them and the patients of Brookdale Hospice. I have heard that High Schools are now requiring a number of community service hours in order for students to graduate and, I’d be happy to help with getting the students those hours. Our opportunities include office help, reading to patients, companionship visits with patients and many more depending on what the student and patient feel comfortable with. Please feel free to print and distribute the flyer I have attached. I’d love to answer any and all questions you and/ or your students might have.
Once again, thank you for your time and I look forward to meeting your students and helping them succeed.
    Best regards,

    April L’Abbe
