GLORIFYING GOD AT CHRISTMAS

Miss Izzy King and Miss Laine Myers
Indianola 5th grade students

On December 17, 2015, the Indianola branch came together to glorify God at our school’s Christmas musical.

The musical was about four girls who want to travel back in time to be at the first Christmas. One of the girls builds a time machine, and they are transported back to that special night in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago. As children of the shepherds, the girls get to see the newborn Baby Jesus.

Everyone in our school worked extremely hard to be ready for the play. Mrs. Moriarity, all of the teachers, and all of the students from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade spent many hours rehearsing so that we could be ready. When it came time for the night of the show, we could feel God’s presence shining in each of us. It is a great blessing to be in a school where we can put on a performance that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas – Jesus’ birth. Overall, the musical was lovely, and trust us when we say, there were lots of smiles in the audience that night. It seems like our families were blessed by the performance too!
